Donald Preziosi

Donald Preziosi is Distinguished Research Professor and Professor Emeritus of Art History and Critical Theory at UCLA, where he has taught since 1986. After receiving a PhD in art history at Harvard, he has taught at Yale, MIT and Oxford, and has been a visiting professor in Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, England, the Netherlands, Egypt, Greece, Finland, and China. He is the author of 14 books, most recently Art, Religion, Amnesia: The Enchantments of Credulity (2014). His The Art of Art History (Oxford, 1998; 2nd ed., 2009) has been translated into Korean (2013) and Chinese (2016). A Festschrift honoring his career and containing a complete bibliography appeared in The Journal of Art Historiography, No. 15, December 2016, along with essays by colleagues and former students at various universities in the US.
