Clare Kunny

Clare Kunny is an art administrator and educator, having served as Manager of Public Education and Teaching at The J. Paul Getty Museum for 9 years and as Associate Director of Adult Programs for the Education Department at The Art Institute of Chicago for 17 years. Clare holds an M.A. in art history from the University of Chicago and has completed doctoral coursework in colonial Mexican art at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Having been a member of College Art Association and the Association of American Museums for the past twenty-six years, she has chaired sessions and presented papers on various topics, including the two art histories (academia and the museum), new museum architecture and the visitor experience, and the “decentralized museum”.
