The Art Historians of Southern California are excited to host a discussion on how our discipline is uniquely positioned to transform the current obsession on Science Technology Engineering & Math or STEM to include the A for arts and empower our campuses with STEAM. This conference will center on diverse topics including: pedagogy for our classes, research in art history that integrates STEM topics and successful advocacy for our discipline.

Exploring the Art of the Medieval Liberal Arts- Dr. Danielle P. Joyner, Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History, Southern Methodist University.

Art as a Technology of Experience- Dr. Kim Beil, Associate Director/Lecturer Immersion in the Arts: Living in Culture (ITALIC), Stanford university.

Identifying Stakeholders and Collaborating with Industry to Refigure Art Curricula- Dr Andrew Paul Findley, Assistant Professor of Art History, Ivy Tech Community College.
